Aroma Banksia Pods Diffusers Unscented Twin Pack
Why? The Banksia Grandis seed pod (the material from which they are made) is particularly porous, it soaks up your essential oil and slowly releases the aroma through its pores. No flames and no electricity are needed with our all natural diffuser!
Your aroma pod comes pre-tested and filled with our very own high quality Pure Australian Eucalyptus oil. Each one is completely different from the last and can be filled with any essential oil you like.
Step 2. Choose a good quality Essential Oil or blend and place 1ml of oil into the pod
Step 3. Place cork back on Aroma Pod
The aroma should last up to 2 weeks - add a few extra drops of essential oil weekly, for a longer-lasting effect.
Can these products be taken Overseas? Yes they can be taken all over the world! However if you are asked to declare a timber product in the country you are entering you must declare the Banksia products as this. We do not provide a document for use when travelling through customs.
Are the products treated? No, we don’t treat our products. We find the chemicals harmful to us and the environment. We also note that customs are not accepting of this process in any case.
How big are the Aroma pods? The mini Aroma pod measures approximately 7cm in circumference and the medium Aroma pod measures approximately 9cm in circumference.
How much oil should you put in the pod? You should put roughly 1-2ml of oil in the pod. Then top up every few days or when needed.
Can I change the oil in my Aroma Pod? YES, you can change the fragrance by adding your own essential oil instead of topping up with Eucalyptus. Wait for the Eucalyptus to completely dissipate and add whatever you choose. This can be done over an over again!
Will the oil leak through the bottom of my Aroma Pod? Each Aroma Pod is tested to ensure they don't leak. However, the Aroma Pod is made from a naturally porous material and it is recommended that something is placed underneath to protect painted or highly polished surfaces.
How often do you fill the Aroma Pod with essential oil? It depends on the quality of the essential oil and how much has been put into the pod. If no smell is present, simply pop more essential oil into the pod. You will need to add oil to the pod with regularity to refresh the aroma. Add a few drops every day or so, just like you would with any other diffuser.
How long will the Aroma Pod last? The Aroma Pod is guaranteed to last a lifetime. You can easily revive your Aroma Pods with some vegetable oil. Use a cloth to apply it and another clean cloth to wipe off any excess
What do I do if I cannot smell the oil in my pod? First you can try priming. This is a process of filling the Pod right up to the top and letting it soak into the pod, repeat this 2-3 times. If this does not work you may need to try a different aroma or essential oil brand. Our recommendations are Eucalyptus and Peppermint oils. Our other oils ie. Mandarin and Tea Tree work best when blended with others. You can find lots of essential oil blending info and ideas online! If you like a strong aroma go for florals.
Please keep in mind that the Aroma Pod is best used in smaller areas of your home that don't usually have powerpoint's. Areas like your powder room, wardrobes, your car and an excellent personal diffuser on your bedside table and work desk!
What is the spongy material on the pod and why does it fall off? This is the fur of the Banksia Seed Pod, it is a natural part of the product and it is completely normal for this to fall off from time to time.
What do I do if a cork breaks? If a cork breaks off in your Pod you should be able to get it out with a corkscrew. In every order we include a spare cork for each pod ordered, in the very rare chance that a cork does break.
Do we ship to New Zealand? As mentioned in the above question, our Banksia products are not treated as we find the chemicals harmful to us and the environment. In this case the customs in New Zealand do not allow the pods through.
Are the Tea Light Holders safe to use? The Banksia seed pod is designed to withstand bush fires. In fact, the Banksia Grandis relies on fire for re-germination. In a bush fire the 'eyes' of the seed pod open up and the seeds fly out. The pods are often left remaining on the tree or on the forest floor merely charred. As with ALL candles, ours come with strict WARNINGS about how they are best handled. Please see the following: Never Leave Burning Candles Unattended Place Holder on a level surface, in a well-ventilated area. Trim candle wick to 10mm before lighting. Only suitable for use with tea light candles sized 38x15mm, in a foil cup.
